Roast Pork shoulder

Talk about delicious and filling the house with happy!!! Slow roasted pork shoulder(or picnic roast or butt) with the bone in is unreal! And couldn't be easier. I rub it down with salt and pepper and maybe a little brown sugar and pop into a 300F oven for 4-5 hours, or until a thermometer stuck into the thickest part(but not touching the bone) says 165F. Remove it and tent with foil, the drippings can be used to sauteed(fry) onions and mushrooms until they are brown and intense. Julienne (make into match stick size with a knife) some daikon (japanese radish) mix that with some julienned cucumber and nappa cabbage then toss with a few drops of sesame oil, rice wine or apple cider vinegar, a teaspoon of anything sweet (I like to add sweet chili dipping sauce) and salt and pepper, and serve with pita bread, lettuce and some tongs for pulling the pork apart. Hoisin sauce also works great with this as does a combo of sauteed onions mixed with roasted beets!!!! Eat them like a sandwich wrap, and serve with cold beer, or a Reisling or Gerwurztriminer.
